Whether you're seeking out a better campsite or executing a creative shortcut through a parking lot, having a little extra aluminum between your bike and an obstacle can go a long way. AltRider engineers carefully designed this skid plate to provide maximum strength and coverage while retaining as much ground clearance as possible. Laser cut from a high-grade 5052 H32 aluminum, the skid plate gets a grain finish to remove burrs, is formed, hand welded and anodized for durability. This important accessory features a complex shape that wraps around the headers in the front and on the underside, providing complete protection to the vulnerable oil filter as well. The AltRider Skid Plate mounts to the Bonnevilles frame with high quality stainless steel hardware for maximum strength. Installation is easy with the included hardware, with no cutting or other modifications necessary. PEM press nuts in the bracket means you wont be fumbling with loose hardware during installation.
