Quick Detach system leaves no exposed bracket when backrest is removed.Installation Instructions:All Years Yamaha XV950 VStar Models 1. Remove driver and passenger seat2. Remove passenger hold down strap nuts and washers from bottom of passenger seat. Bracket mounts to the bottom of the passenger seat not the fender or the bracket 3. Place supplied bracket over existing studs and reinstall nuts and washers. 4. Reinstall seats5. Slide backrest into the installed bracketif upright is loose put one piece of electrical tape around tongue and reinstall
