The brace replaces the stock cable or accessory tether that goes between the TourPak lid and body. The TB3 complements or fully replaces the new 2014 Tourpak stock tether. It allows the lid to open fully but not flop over. Once youve installed an Ultra Brace,youll never want to go back to the cable or any tether. The TourPak is that much easier to open and close. Lock into place or for quick entry,leave the Ultra Brace in the unlocked position. Never again will the cable get caught outside the TourPak.,An open TourPak with an Ultra Brace has a narrower profile to allow easier parking in your garage. The Ultra Brace is easy to install and includes all hardware and instructions.,After installation,the passenger backrest covers all exterior bracket backplates. It fits all 79 to Current TourPaks,including Detachable,Chopped and Razor TourPaks. It works especially well on TourPaks outfitted with a luggage rack or with our TourPak Lid or Wall Organizer and fits TourPaks with the HarleyDavidson remote CD changer or automatic light accessory. Operation: The Ultra Brace allows the TourPak to be openedclosed easily with one hand to an optimal position...right where you want it. With the TourPak open the Ultra Brace can then be left in the unlocked position for quick access to your gear. If needed the Ultra Brace can also be put into a locked position for extra support of a full luggage rack or lid organizer. Closing the TourPak lid is also an easy one hand motion from the unlocked position. From the locked position,simply unlock first then close the lid. Never again will the stock cable flop outside the tourpak. Never again will you have to allow the lid to flop over.For 06 to current ABS plastic HD tourpaks,slightly longer screws are provided.
